Message Waiting Indication
Know when you have voice message waiting without having to dial into your
voicemail box. Message Waiting Indication signals that a message is in a voice
mailbox and is waiting to be retrieved. There are three different ways in which
Message Waiting Indication can be identified:
- Audible - An interrupted dial tone is heard when the receiver is picked up
indicating there is a new message. Otherwise known as ‘stutter-tone’
- Visual - A visual signal is generated when there is a new message
(requires a visual device, such as an illuminating lamp).
- A combination of both Audible and Visual is available which generates both
an interrupted dial tone signal and a visual signal when new voice message(s)
are waiting.
If you ordered voicemail from Liberty Bell, Message Waiting Indication is
already loaded on your phone line. If you have a telephone equipped with a
message waiting indicator it will light up when you have a message waiting. You
will also hear a ‘stutter-tone’ on your phone line when you pick up the
receiver if you have a message waiting.

Speed Calling 30
How to Use Speed Calling 30
- Make a list of your 30 most important or frequently dialed numbers.
- Assign each a two-digit code from 20 to 49.
- Lift the receiver and press *75.
- Press the two-digit code you've selected, followed by the telephone
number assigned to that code. Include your access code and/or area code if
it's a long distance number.
- You'll hear a tone to let you know the number is programmed.
- Repeat these steps for the other numbers on your list.
Directions:
Speed Calling lists may be
available in a 8 or 30 telephone number capacity. Each capacity can be added to
the other, making a 36 or 38 telephone number memory. The lists are established
and changed by the end-user.
To establish a Speed Calling
list:
1.
End-user determines telephone
numbers that they would like to associate with a Speed Calling code.
2.
End-user assigns a Speed
Calling Code to each number they want on the Speed Calling list:
·
Speed Calling 8 Codes: 2
through 9
·
Speed Calling 30 Codes: 20
through 49
3.
End-user dials one of the
following access codes:
·
Speed Calling 8 Code: dial
*74 from a touchtone or 74 from a rotary phone.
·
Speed Calling 30 Code: dial
*75 from a touchtone or 75 from a rotary phone.

list.

- Press the code (20-49) you gave to the number you want to call, followed
by the # key. To change a programmed number

you want to keep.
If you are using a rotary telephone instead of a touch-tone, dial 1175 (instead
of *75), then dial the code you gave to the number you want to call, without the
#. The phone will hesitate a moment, then dial the number.
Add Continuous Redial to make Speed Calling 30 even more helpful. To save
even more time when dialing, let Continuous Redial keep trying those busy
numbers for you. It will automatically redial the number you're trying to reach,
so you're free to do something else until the call connects.
Additional Instructions
Speed Calling numbers cannot be strung together (e.g., you cannot use code 20
to dial a carrier access code and then press code 30 to dial a relative's
number).
There is no minimum number of digits required in the telephone number (e.g.,
911 can be programmed on a Speed Calling list). Only numbers can be programmed
